Syed Darbar Ali Shah (born 21 July 1923) was a civil servant from 1949 to the end of Gen Ayub Khan's rule. Shah was one of the most senior civil servants of Pakistan. In 1926 Shah was born in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan to a Syed (Sayyid) family. He studied earlier in a local school and then graduated from Government College University, Lahore. Shah was born in July 21, 1923 to a small village of Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After completing a local high school, Shah went to Lahore to attend GC University.
